Laboratories and Professors
There are three main research fields.
- Structural Engineering
Students go beyond their undergraduate thesis, conducting research projects at a more professional level, such as joint research with a company or developing and proposing totally new structural systems. The results of their research projects are presented and published in the form of papers. - Architectural Design
Design and research projects at the graduate level are more technical and real-world based. Students further their understanding and deepen their focus by participating in faculty lectures that deal with cutting-edge issues, investigations and designs in the neighboring communities, and international workshops. - Built Environment Engineering
Students conduct research to create buildings that provide high-quality environments and functionalities for the health and safety of occupants. While undertaking research projects, environmental issues such as light, sound, heating, air, and water are taken into consideration, as well as the desirability of buildings and cities.
