FAQ
- Q. What are the advantages of studying at a graduate school?
- As an engineer, you will be able to cultivate various abilities necessary to be active for a long time.
In most cases, the design is done by faculty members or graduate students, even though they may draw the drawings of the experimental devices in their graduate research. The reason for this is that it is quite difficult to design an experimental device while understanding why it should be shaped the way it is, not only because of design experience, but also because it is quite difficult in the first semester of the fourth year when students have little understanding of the phenomena involved in the experiment.
Preparation for the experiment naturally involves making a parts list, discussing the purchase of equipment such as measuring instruments, and training to become a full-fledged engineer. Also, when you present your research results at academic conferences, you will encounter various ways of looking at and thinking about things that you cannot get in the laboratory. This is the reason why graduate school graduates (master's degree) are highly valued in society.
Even if you enter the same company, the people who are entrusted with challenging jobs are overwhelmingly graduates of graduate schools.
- Q.Are the classes in graduate school difficult?
- In graduate school, you will learn more basic content as well as more advanced content from undergraduate courses.
You will be required to review the basics necessary for each class during the class, or you will be assigned supplementary reading materials.
- Q. Will I do only research in the graduate school?
- A. No. In addition to research, you must take lecture courses and earn credits for them.
In the Master's Course, of the 30 credits required for graduation, 18 to 22 credits must be earned through lecture courses. In the second year, most of your time will be spent on research.
- Q. Is there any financial support?
- The university offers various scholarships to help students study hard and lead a stable student life without worrying about their financial situation.

- Q. In general, what should I pay attention to when I apply to graduate school?
- In graduate school, you will take about 10 courses, but you should consider that the majority of your education will be provided by your academic advisor.
Therefore, the selection of your academic advisor is very important. It is advisable to choose your academic advisor after doing some research beforehand to find out whether they are doing excellent research in your field, what kind of research methods they use, and whether you can receive the kind of education you want.
